Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and compact antenna system that is suitable for a base station in mobile communication such as a PHS. SOLUTION: A double-square shaped antenna main body 1 where rectangular antenna elements 1a, 1b whose surrounding length is about 1 wavelength (λ) are connected to share one side in common is configured and placed in parallel with a ground plate 3 at an interval of less than λ/4, and an open end of an antenna exciter 2T whose electric length is about λ/4 is opposed to the antenna main body 1 at an interval to form a very small static capacitance (c) to apply static coupling between the exciter and the antenna main body 1.
