(57)【要約】 【課題】 追尾対象の動物体を安定して検出・追尾す る。 【解決手段】 CCDカメラ2から入力された画像を相 互にオーバーラップした複数の領域に分割して特徴量を 抽出する特徴量抽出手段3と、CCDカメラ2を可動制 御するカメラ制御手段11と、CCDカメラ2の位置を 検出するカメラ位置検出手段6と、CCDカメラ2の可 動領域全体で画像の背景情報をカメラ位置検出手段の検 出位置に応じて保存する背景情報メモリ5と、フレーム 毎に更新される特徴量抽出手段3により抽出された領域 の特徴量と背景情報とを比較して動領域として検出する とともに追尾対象の動物体1を選択する動領域検出手段 7と、動領域検出手段7に検出された複数の動物体1の 交差をこれらの動物体1の色特徴により検出する交差検 出手段10とを有する構成とした。
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably detect and trace a mobile object to be tracked. SOLUTION: This system is constituted of a characteristic quantity extract means 3, that divides an image received from a CCD camera 2 into plural areas overlapped with each other to extract a characteristic quantity, a camera control means 11 that controls the movement of the CCD camera, a camera position detection means 6 that detects the position of the CCD camera 2, a background information memory 5 that stores background information of an image by an entire moving area of the CCD camera 2 depending on a detection position of the camera position detection means, a moving area detection means 7 that compares a characteristic quantity of the area extracted by the characteristic quantity extract means 3 updated for each frame with the background information and detects a moving area and selects a mobile object 1 to be tracked, and a cross detection means 10 that detects crossing of pluralities of mobile objects 1 detected by the moving area detection means 7, based on a color characteristic of the mobile objects 1.
